A hold function allows the user to freeze the display in order to record results. The HI 991404 also features a non-clogging double junction pH electrode and a conductivity probe.

The HI 9813-6N comes with a HI 1285-6 combination probe with DIN connector and 1 m/3.3 ft. cable, a starter set of calibration and cleaning solution sachets, a check solution sachet, a 9V battery and instructions.
