The HI 98127B is a portable waterproof pH and temperature meter with a replaceable electrode and automatic temperature compensation.

Featuring a large LCD screen, the tester provides pH and temperature readings in an ergonomically designed casing. A special stability function indicates when the meter is ready to take a reading, and features a hold function to freeze the screen while results are recorded.

The HI 98127B tester functions in temperatures of -5.0 to 60.0 degrees C / 23.0 to 140.0 degrees F (+ or - 0.5 degrees C / + or - 1 degrees F), and has a range of -2.0 to 16.0 pH (+ or - 0.1) with a resolution of 0.1 pH. Calibration is automatic, at one or two points with two sets of memorized buffers (pH 4.01/7.01/10.01 or pH 4.01/6.86/9.18). The dimensions are 163 x 40 x 26 mm (6.4 x 1.6 x 1.0") and it weighs only 100 g (3.5 oz.), a conveniently sized meter for taking measurements in the field.

The HI 9828010-01 is a multi-parameter meter capable of measuring 12 different water quality parameters including pH, electro-conductivity (EC), Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP), dissolved oxygen (DO), atmospheric pressure, resistivity, salinity, seawater specific gravity and temperature.

The HI meter is capable of holding up to 60,000 samples with 12 measurements each and has graphing capabilities. The meter has a calibration check feature that verifies probe functionality, and a Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) function that recalls the last five calibrations. It also features a backlit LCD to reduce glare, auto-recognition of the attached probe, and a USB connection for downloading data to Windows. The meter can operate on alkaline or rechargeable batteries and also includes a 12VDC power adapter for periods of prolonged use.

With the Hanna Instruments Fast Tracker Tag Identification System and internal GPS, test logging is simplified by placing iButton tags containing a stainless steel encased computer chip with a unique identification code at various sampling sites. iButton tags can be screwed into place at various sites, and read by touching the meter to the tag to record location, date, time and water quality measurements at tagged locations.

The tester functions and provides automatic temperature compensation (ATC) in temperatures of -5 to 55 degrees C (23 to 131 degrees F) (accuracy + or - 0.15 degrees C; + or - 0.27 degrees F; + or - 0.15K), and has a range of pH 0.0 to 14.0 (+ or - 0.05pH). ORP range is + or - 2000.0 mV (+ or – 1.0 mV), with resolution 0.1 mV. Dissolved oxygen (DO) range is 0.0 to 500.0%; 0.00 to 50.00 mg/L (0.0 to 300.0%: + or - 1.5% of reading or + or - 1.0% whichever is greater; 300.0 to 500.0%: + or - 3% of reading; 0.00 to 30.00 mg/L: + or - 1.5% of reading or 0.10 mg/L whichever is greater; 30.00 mg/L to 50.00 mg/L: + or - 3% of reading, with resolution 0.1% / 0.01 mg/L.
